This coming Saturday South District will be celebrating world church issues and concerns with a 4 course world feast, music, dancing, a couple of speakers, bookstall and some fairtrade stalls. 6.30-8.30pmish £5 at Heald Green United Reformed Church on Finney Lane. It will be a sit down meal interspersed with other things! All welcome. Leave a comment to book or for more info.
It will finish off our year of various world church events with a couple of evenings sharing about Zambia (see photo of t-shirt detail), Zimbabwe and Botswana and sharing with a variety of guests from Taiwan including a Taiwanese choir and some theological college students.
Next event for the South District and North Western Synod after that will be the visit 7-14 Nov of Revd Pan from The Presbyterian Church of Taiwan, vice moderator of Chia-Yi Presbytery which we are looking forward to very much.
