Over 100 people were part of The Vagina Monologues - as audience, cast, behind the scenes and front of house.
£260 was raised for Wythenshawe Women's Aid & Manchester Women's Domestic Violence Helpline!
Men and women were in the audience and people came from Tameside, Wilmslow, Merseyside, Warrington, Buxton, Wirral, Stockport and, of course, Wythenshawe! It was the first season for TVMs in Wythenshawe and thanks go to all Christians, community groups, womens organisations and other groups who promoted and supported the performances. The audience response was encouraging. Please pray for all who were there and for the churches as we continue to grapple with speaking about complex and sometimes taboo issues and making space for others to speak too. Thanks to the Spirit for her inspiration and for nurturing in us renewed faith, joy and courage as missionaries in our own lands.
