Shining stars, lights & dens

light and dark stories,
messy dens lit with torches,
shiny cards to send in Advent.

impromptu music with new friends,
glitter snowstorms made with jamjars,
preparing for the christmas baby.

talk of christmas plans,
welcoming a 5th church to visit & see,
wondering which nativity character we'll come dressed up as for messychurch messychristmas nativity party!

Prayer to say lots of thank yous to God:
Thanks shiny-star God for lighting the way when it is dark and icy out.
Thanks for Christmas trees with messages of peace and cards signed for Amnesty International friends around your world.

Thanks for glittery water reflecting light and helping hands to make things.
Thanks for messychurch messages of light and wonder and hope when some are ill and run-down and got flu.
Thanks for this amazing opportunity to take part in real-life nativity here in Wythenshawe this Christmas and for the fun of dressing up.
We pray for all the children who will be in Christmas nativity stories at school and in churches and community centres this month and their families.
We pray for all children and adults who will share in these stories of Good News that they are relevant and connect with them so all people will have opportunity to know human and Godly love which is real, beautiful, and life-giving.
Amen
