Christmas is coming...wrapped up as a baby

Baby God,
wrapped up in the womb,
we are waiting for you to be birthed.
Mary is nearing her time
Joseph is nearing his time
When they will be birthed as parents.
Even as you kick and turn in the safety of the womb, baby God,
we pray for all mums-to-be and dads-to-be this Christmas.
We hope there will be lots of love and support and a huge welcome for all the babies in waiting, mums labouring and fathers supporting.
We pray for a warm breast to nourish new life.
We pray for open hearts to care for new parents.
We pray for families and communities to offer practical love.
We pray for our society in Britain, that we will welcome all children, so they can teach us how to live fully.
We pray for ourselves, so God can meet us where we are.
Amen

Thanks to the organisations who have donated Christmas gifts for adults and toys and books for children of all ages. They have been shared with Women's Aid, George House Trust, families in Wythenshawe, and vulnerable families in Manchester.
We pray for you all that you will receive what you need in financial, emotional and spiritual terms this Christmas.
