It was an amazing and inspiring festival in and around Manchester cathedral for the spirit of life event. Music, hand and foot massage, healing prayer, anointing with holy oil, weaving prayers, listening corner, paintings and art space and workshops, chanting prayers and images of Christ from different corners of the globe.
Three church members in their 80s from our church went with one of their non church friends and I went with my husband, young son and two of our friends in their thirties and the range of people and ages was really broad.
I found the workshop by Steve hollinghurst on the goddess and Christianity thought provoking and informative but not too know it all...we explored parallels between Lilith,and Eve, Mary and Mary Magdalene with Canaanite goddesses Ishtar/Asarte. More on that soon...
