Wild food at St. Marks church - Elderberry Syrup Recipe

This week at church we discovered lots of ripe elderberries and picked them!

We also discovered 2 damson trees, rosehips and crab apples!
Not all are full of fruit but 5 of us managed a small suitcase full of elderberries and part of a carrier bag full of rosehips.
The Dandelion Food Community allotmenters also won 2 first prizes and 1 second prize for crab apple jelly, crab apple jam and marrow and ginger chutney too - which we all tasted last week as part of our weekly meet!
