Dandelion seeds of Peace in Palestine Israel

World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel ( 28 May- June 3) Vigil Service

The World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel invites World Council of Churches member churches, faith-based communities and other groups working for peace and justice to join a week of prayer, education, and advocacy for an end to the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine and a just end to the conflict.
We gather now to remember those who are displaced and dispossessed as a result of the illegal occupation. We will pray for a just and peaceful settlement to the conflict and that we who are called to be makers of peace and reconciliation, may be encouraged to speak out and act to make that settlement possible.

Gathering prayer
L: In Christ, the world is reconciled to God who
entrusts to us the message of reconciliation.
A: As the ambassadors of Christ’s reconciling work, we make our petitions to God:
L: When we pray together from our diverse
traditions,
A: Holy One who makes us one, make our unity
visible and bring healing to the world.
L: When we form friendships among Jews,
Christians and Muslims, when we tear down the wall of indifference and hatred,
A: Merciful One who makes us one, make our unity visible and bring healing to the world.
L: When we work for justice and solidarity, when we move from fear to confidence,
A: Strengthening One who makes us one, make our unity visible and bring healing to the world.
L: Wherever there is suffering through war and
violence, displacement and dispossession, injustice and inequality, poverty and hopelessness, drawing us near to the cross of Christ and to each other,
A: Wounded One who makes us one, make our unity visible and bring healing to the world.
