What a month so far with the Launch Celebration of St. Marks 5 Year Mission initiatives & Vision: to see lives changed by Jesus in Wythenshawe. We shared as a group of 40 children and adults together with music, communion, praying, dancing and giving a taster of each new mission actions & initiatives we've now started!Already, in relation to our new prayer shawl ministry a knitted prayer shawl has been given to the church to bless & the new care team to give to someone.
This coming Saturday we're launching the new gathering of messychurch! A once-a-month get-together on 4th Saturdays 10am-12noon with activities & celebration on a monthly theme. This time it's New Beginnings because there are lots of new starts for all kinds of people in January.messychurch! is for all kinds of people and all ages. It is informal, flexible & prepared & led together in small groups so children, teens & adults share together and in different ways.
Our aim over 5 years with messychurch! is to build up great relationships with 50 families - approx 10 new families (of any kind) each year and create a space for families once a month to eat, chat, share & play together & explore with God as we do.
