Homemade and handmade gifts help us to remember our own and our families and communities creativity - however well hidden it seems! Living simply, more sustainably and gently on mother earth this Advent is important in the light of our economy and our interconnectedness.
Loving presence, we give reverence and thanks for the food we will eat and buy and share today. We honour those who have prepared it by eating it with gratitude and sharing our lives with children in our community, church, business, lives. May we treasure the children near us, honour them through our listening, when then drive us around the bend, when we are rushing with busyness of Christmas help us to be still, pause, wear a felt or paper crown and know each child, each life, is one which is precious, unique and beautiful.
