This week I have had several conversations with people from around the world whilst I am based in Taiwan about nativity stories - the stories of Jesus being born. There are lots of different ways of creatively presenting the stories but one church in the UK, a United Reformed Church, which is the denomination I am minister with, decided last week to have a display of 150 different scenes with figures of Mary (Jesus Mum), baby Jesus and Joseph (Jesus Dad) decorated with these sets from around the world. Perhaps you would consider setting up a Nativity Scene in your home this year, on your desk at work, next to a fireplace or in the window - a friend of mine made a cut out scene of paper and pasted it onto her large front window which was really eye-catching for passers-by. What could you do where you are today that will re-present the story of Jesus birth for Christmastime in your country?
